May perform diagnostic testing, maintain supply inventory levels, and clean and maintain medical equipment. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization./ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliRooms patients, takes and documents vital signs and prepares patients for provider exam./liliAdministers medication under physicians direction and within the scope of practice as demonstrated by completion of training and testing./liliPerforms diagnostic testing such as EKGs, audiograms, typanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings as instructed and documents in EPIC EMR./liliResponsible for reviewing both Provider refill in basket and assisting with daily medication refill request using the ARC refill protocol./liliResponsible for reviewing EPIC triage call in basket for any callbacks./liliResponsible for reviewing result note in basket and calling /informing patients of normal lab results./liliEnsures rooms are properly stocked and supplies are current and within expiration dates./liliCleans patient rooms as needed, including proper handling of dirty laundry./liliEnsures laundry cart is stocked with fresh linens on a daily basis./liliFollows directions given by nursing team leader or supervisor./liliFollows clinic protocols./liliProvides patients with educational materials as directed./liliAdheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct./liliRegular and dependable attendance./liliFollows the core competencies set forth by the Company, which are available for review on CMSweb./liliWorks holiday shift(s) as required by Company policy./li/ulh3Other Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliMay be responsible for answering incoming phone calls coming into nursing triage, which include the following:/liulliDetermines if the call is low acuity or high acuity by demonstrating strong listening skills./liliIf able to assist patient in a non-clinical situation, will continue the call./liliForwards to the appropriate clinical staff member on duty if the call requires any clinical intervention./liliResponsible for (but not limited to): ADD symptoms/Questions, Medication Refill requests, Referral questions, request for copies of lab or immunization records, request for lab releasing to my chart, lab results if sign off by provider, general calls from pharmacies and medication not covered by their insurance./liliUtilizes the smart phrases when taking any phone messages and routing directly to the provider./liliPosts patient test results through patients mychart portal./liliRefills medication following the ARC refill protocols./liliMay assist providers with procedures by setting up equipment, assisting with patient preparation, and cleaning and storing equipment after exam. Obtains applicable consents and completes all necessary documentation in EPIC EMR./liliMay maintain equipment (autoclaves, sterilizes, washes speculums, checks expiration dates, etc)./liliPerforms other duties within the scope of the unlicensed personnel as assigned./li/ul/ulh3Qualifications/h3pEducation and Experience/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./liliRequired to meet one of the following:/liulliMedical Assistant experience, or/liliCNA/EMT/PCT(or other comparable experience) providing direct patient care, beyond Activities of Daily Living, including experience taking manual vitals and giving medications and/or injections, or/liliGraduate of a medical assistant program./li/ul/ulpPreferred:/pulliSix (6) months or more experience as a Medical Assistant./li/ulpCertificate/License/pulliMedical Assistant certification preferred./liliCurrent AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card or within 60 days of hire required./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills and Abilities/pulliAbility to administer medications injections within scope of position within 90 days of hire./liliKnowledge of medical terminology./liliExcellent organizational skills./liliExcellent phone listening skills./liliAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities./liliExcellent customer service skills./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliExcellent interpersonal problem solving skills./liliAbility to work in a team environment./liliExcellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows./liliAbility to engage others, listen and adapt response to meet others needs./liliAbility to align own actions with those of other team members committed to common goals./liliExcellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows./liliAbility to manage competing priorities./liliAbility to perform job duties in a professional manner at all times./liliAbility to understand, recall, and communicate, factual information./liliAbility to understand, recall, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information./liliAbility to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology./liliAbility to apply common sense in performing job./li/ulpWork Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p/p/div
