Pediatric Clinical Support Role

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
• Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs (including weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate), and documenting chief complaints and medical histories.
• Observe and report abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring accurate and timely medical record documentation.
• Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and coordinating necessary patient testing or admissions.
• Support minor surgical preparations and physical exams, securing consents for invasive procedures or immunizations, and distributing educational materials to enhance patient understanding of treatments and medications.
• Maintain clinical supplies and equipment, ensuring exam rooms are clean, organized, and stocked according to protocol. Sterilize instruments and verify equipment functionality.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the clinical environment.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.

Work Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm, 40 hours per week.
