Job Title: RN - L&D Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN Certifications: Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate Must-Have: High-risk obstetrical bedside training Experience circulating in c-section in the labor and delivery area Ability to recover high acuity patients Description: We are seeking a registered nurse for a labor and delivery position. The unit operates with high staffing ratios for optimal patient care. Cervical ripening ratios are typically 2:1. In triage, the ratio is 3:1 for stable patients. Stable post-partum patients on magnesium sulfate have a 2:1 ratio, while unstable patients require 1:1. Active labor patients are managed at a 1:1 ratio, and early labor is cared for at 2:1. The unit serves high-risk obstetrical patients. Equipment utilized includes GE fetal monitors. The documentation system in use is Meditech. Staff members work three 12-hour night shifts weekly. Floating to the antepartum unit may be required as needed. The dress code includes clean scrubs, neat hair, and restricted body art and piercings. Attendance policies will be strictly followed.
