RN Nurse Supervisor

Job Overview Arch Vista Behavioral Health is a compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health and addiction treatment center located at 5500 South Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63111. The position is a full‑time Nurse Supervisor for the Behavioral Health unit, available for Night Shift or Day Shift assignments. Responsibilities Serve as on‑shift clinical leader, assigning staff, prioritizing admissions and discharges, and coordinating with intake and ED transfers. Support RNs/LPNs with patient assessments, medication administration, restraint and seclusion per policy, and timely documentation. Lead real‑time de‑escalation and code responses; conduct post‑event debriefs and learning activities. Validate rounds, safety checks, and environment‑of‑care standards; coordinate with facilities and security as needed. Precept new hires and students, champion competencies and policy adherence. Ensure continuity of care overnight with vigilant observation and timely documentation. Manage after‑hours admissions and urgent needs; prepare a thorough handoff to the day team. Qualifications Active RN license; BSN preferred. Minimum of 2 years inpatient psychiatric or emergency psychiatric experience; prior charge experience is a plus. Calm communicator with strong critical‑thinking skills. Must be 21 years of age or older. Experience in clinical leadership, staff coordination, patient assessment, medication administration, de‑escalation, crisis intervention, safety rounds, documentation, precepting, and critical thinking. Knowledge of psychiatric nursing, inpatient care, trauma‑informed care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, and team mentorship.
