Exciting L&D RN Opportunity: Embrace the Journey of Life!

Job Description:


- Shift Details:
- 12-hour night shifts, 7 PM - 7 AM
- Weekends as needed
- First to float

- Department Overview:
- Labor & Delivery Unit featuring:
- 14 L&D beds
- 2 OR suites for C-Sections
- 4 Triage beds
- Attracting approximately 90 births per month

- Staffing & Ratios:
- Follows AWHONN staffing standards:
- 1:1 labor, unless pairing cervical ripening patients
- 1:3 postpartum couplet care
- 1:3 in Triage, with a resource nurse available for support

- Required Certifications:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- STABLE

- Patient Care Focus:
- Caring for patients with:
- 32 weeks gestation and greater
- Hypertension, TOLAC, gestational diabetes
- Experience with magnesium therapy required

- Experience Needed:
- Minimum 3 years of L&D experience
- Experience with mother-baby care preferred
- Ability to attend deliveries and perform newborn care

- Team Environment:
- Supportive structure with:
- Charge Nurse not taking an assignment
- Resource and Triage Nurse availability
- OB hospitalist and Neonatal NP in-house 24/7
- Collaboration with surgical techs and nurse aids

- Orientation & Training:
- 4 shifts of unit-specific orientation
- Compliance and EPIC Curio assignments must be completed before start

- Scheduling & Flexibility:
- Travelers will fill staffing gaps with flexible scheduling options
- Weekend and holiday requirements based on unit needs

- Floating Requirements:
- Potential to float to multiple locations within 15 minutes of each other
- Full-shift floating with advance notice


- Dress Code:
- Hospital-issued scrubs required
- Change into scrubs at the beginning and end of shifts

- Additional Notes:

- Strict no fingernail lacquer policy
