Senior Associate, Trade & Customs

KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice. Responsibilities: Provide advice to clients in a variety of industries on import and export matters Research U.S. and international import and export trade matters Explore, write, and review international trade advice Formulate ideas and deliver possible trade savings opportunities Aid in the development and training of team members Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and satisfaction Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment Qualifications: Minimum three years of recent import/export experience in the field of trade and customs as a customs attorney, customs broker, U.S. Customs auditor, or import specialist, which will include experience in The Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, entry processes, valuation, and informed compliance methods Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or Masters in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university; LCB or other relevant trade certification preferred Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Access, Excel, and more Demonstrated project management experience including effective interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to travel both domestically and internationally Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa) #J-18808-Ljbffr KPMG LLP
