Job Title: Neuro ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Neuro experience required - Travel experience preferred - Float required: ICU/IMC/Tele as needed Description: We are seeking a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week position. This role requires working 3x12-hour night shifts. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a Neuro ICU setting. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory. Experience in blood product administration and care of ventilated patients is essential. Candidates should be knowledgeable in central line care/management and CVA/acute stroke management. Experience with external ventricular drains (EVD) and ICP monitoring is expected. The registered nurse will be involved in the management of dysrhythmias and post-craniotomy care. As part of the team, the RN will support interdisciplinary care, including physical therapy and respiratory services. A strong knowledge of spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries is necessary. The unit cares for adults with a daily census of 14 patients. Patient ratios will be 2:1 days and nights.
