Role Description The Senior AI Systems Engineer – On-Premise AI will design, implement, and maintain on-premise AI infrastructure and platforms that support Younessi Law’s internal operations and case management workflows. This full-time, on-site role in Los Angeles involves architecting robust AI systems, integrating machine learning tools with existing legal systems, and ensuring secure data handling for sensitive case information. The engineer will perform day-to-day monitoring of system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and optimize configurations for reliability, scalability, and compliance. Responsibilities include collaborating with attorneys and operations staff to translate business requirements into technical solutions, documenting system designs and standard operating procedures, and coordinating with external vendors or IT teams when needed. The role also includes proactive capacity planning, periodic upgrades, and continuous improvement of AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and decision support.

Qualifications

• Strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills to architect, implement, and scale on-premise AI platforms.
• Proficiency in System Administration and Technical Support to maintain, secure, and support production systems for end users.
• Advanced Troubleshooting capabilities to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and integration issues.
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure (e.g., GPU servers, containerization, orchestration tools) and on-premise deployments.
• Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and data protection in environments handling confidential information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience working in or supporting professional services or legal environments is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders, and a track record of working on-site in cross-functional teams.
