We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator Helper to assist with machine operation, order setup, quality checks, and recordkeeping for sheet, pad, and box orders. This position works in a manufacturing environment and requires attention to detail, basic mechanical ability, and a strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Receive materials and compare them to order requirements
• Set up and adjust the Apstar machine according to job specifications
• Inspect products for quality and report any issues to the supervisor
• Record production details, hours worked, downtime, and order information
• Perform basic machine maintenance using hand tools
• Assist with training backup employees or temporary staff as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and housekeeping standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2 years of related manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
• Ability to read work orders, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages
• Ability to stand for long periods and work around moving machinery
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Basic computer/typing skills preferred

Work Environment:
This position is in a loud manufacturing setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional airborne particles. Safety awareness and attention to detail are required.
