Registered Nurse (RN) - IMC

Registered Nurse Neuro Intermediate Care

Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shift: 18:45 - 07:15. Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks.

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 16+ weeks; average daily census up to 24 patients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Neuro stepdown, PCU, or similar settings.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are required.
• Must have experience with EKG interpretation and titrating LEVO.
• Must be able to perform various patient care procedures including but not limited to IV therapy, feeding tube management, and care for ventilated patients.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions in a neuro intermediate care setting.
• Administer medications and IV therapies according to protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health maintenance.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in electronic medical records.

Must comply with call-off policy. Orientation includes a 32-hour program with an 8-hour computer class and two shifts on the unit.
