HR Assistant – Payroll Support

Pay: $20–$25/hour Schedule: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and organized HR Assistant to support payroll, recruiting, and day-to-day HR activities. This role will assist with APD payroll, job postings, candidate phone screens, job fairs, and other administrative HR functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing and maintaining payroll using APD Payroll
• Post and maintain job openings on Indeed and other recruiting platforms
• Review applicants and conduct initial phone screens
• Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating candidates
• Represent the company at job fairs and recruiting events
• Maintain accurate employee and recruiting records
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team
• Assist with other HR and recruiting projects as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative support
• Experience with APD Payroll preferred
• Comfortable using Indeed and online recruiting platforms
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional and friendly phone manner
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Previous recruiting or job fair experience is a plus
