Who we are looking for Are you experienced in practical leadership and operational management within a machine shop? Have you worked as a Value Stream Manager setting up and guiding a high‑production facility from its inception? You will take the lead as the senior operational executive accountable for overall outcomes, profitability, and ongoing advancement of the Large Format Machining (LFM) Value Stream. Your duties involve handling every aspect of the Value Stream and aligning production, engineering, and supply‑chain operations. Main objectives include cutting waste, optimizing flow, and maintaining safety, quality, and on‑time delivery. You’ll also build and direct operational strategies to support rapid volume growth and encourage continuous improvement throughout the plant. Success in this role requires a hands‑on leadership style, extensive knowledge of machining processes, methods, equipment, and tools, and proficiency in Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies. This distinguished opportunity allows you to play a vital role by taking initiative and solving complex issues in a high‑growth, collaborative environment. Monitor and improve important metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), productivity, scrap, and labor efficiency. Use Basic Problem Solving and Root Cause Countermeasure as appropriate to address opportunities. Be responsible for the value stream's budget and P&L, implementing cost‑reduction strategies and running labor, overhead, and operating expenses. Stay at the forefront of emerging machining technologies and manufacturing advancements, positioning the organization as an industry leader. What you bring to the team Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in machine shop management, with a strong preference for Large Scale Machining. At least 5 years holding a leadership role in a sophisticated manufacturing environment. Experience with facility startup, new product introduction, and production.
