Job Title: Makino Grinder Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Makino Grinder Specialist to join our team. The role involves setting up and performing changeovers on grinders, utilizing precision grinding techniques for outer diameter and inner diameter parts, and maintaining high tolerances of +/- .001, particularly for the aerospace industry. The position may also require the use of manual or CNC mills and lathes to grind and smooth metal parts, removing defects, sharp edges, and excess material.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform changeovers on grinders.
• Operate precision grinders for outer diameter and inner diameter grinding.
• Maintain high tolerances of +/- .001, crucial for aerospace components.
• Utilize manual mills/lathes or CNC mills/lathes as necessary.
• Grind and smooth metal parts to remove defects, sharp edges, and excess material.

Essential Skills

• Experience running a CNC machine or similar equipment with setups and changeovers.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and machine operation.
• Knowledge of grinding, CNC machining, and surface grinding techniques.
• Ability to use micrometers and other precision measurement tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with schematic interpretation.
• Experience with mills, lathes, and CNC equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
