Nurse Practitioner – Family / Internal

Bethesda Maryland Pay From $65 per hour MUST:

(2)+ years of Internal or Family Nurse Practitioner experience Prior outpatient clinic experience Must have a valid unrestricted NP license in Maryland Must have a valid DEA# Must be board certified as a Nurse Practitioner Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered healthcare across the lifespan. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions while promoting disease prevention and overall wellness. The FNP will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state laws and organizational protocols.
• Provide preventive care, including annual physicals, immunizations, and health screenings.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment plans, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart disease.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
