POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES: Location: Charleston, WV or Oklahoma City, OK The Vice President of Land Administration is responsible for leading, developing, and modernizing the Company's land administration function in support of its large and complex asset portfolio and strategic growth initiatives. The role oversees lease and contract administration, ownership interests, division orders, land records, owner relations, land-related systems and data, and related processes supporting accurate revenue distribution and financial reporting. A central mandate of the role is to improve the efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and capabilities of Land Administration through stronger processes, systems, automation, analytics, AI, and other emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities Lead the Land Administration function, including organizational structure, staffing, employee development, performance management, and strategic direction. Oversee lease and contract administration, ownership interests, division orders, land records, owner relations, and related land administration activities. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of land, ownership, leasehold, and related data across a large portfolio of operated and non-operated assets spanning multiple states. Modernize and scale Land Administration through process redesign, automation, AI, data analytics, and effective utilization of land management systems, including Enertia. Establish and monitor appropriate policies, controls, workflows, KPIs, and management reporting to improve productivity, data quality, processing times, accountability, and operational effectiveness. Lead Land Administration support for acquisitions and divestitures, including due diligence, data conversion, system integration, transition planning, and post-closing integration. Partner closely with Accounting, Legal, Operations, Information Technology, Finance, Business Development, and other functions to support accurate revenue-related processes and broader Company objectives. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects involving land administration, systems, data, organizational effectiveness, and business growth. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Energy Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent significant industry experience. Approximately 15 or more years of progressive oil and gas land administration experience, including substantial leadership responsibility within a large or complex upstream oil and gas organization. Significant experience leading a land administration department or major land administration functions. Deep working knowledge of lease administration, ownership, division orders, land records, owner relations, operated and non-operated properties, and related revenue processes. Demonstrated success improving land administration operations through technology implementation, automation, process redesign, data management, or organizational improvements. Strong technology orientation and demonstrated ability to evaluate, implement, and effectively utilize land management systems, databases, workflow technologies, automation tools, analytics platforms, and other technology solutions. Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing practical applications of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, accuracy, scalability, reporting, or decision-making. Strong understanding of data governance, data integrity, controls, reporting, and the relationship between land administration data and revenue distribution, accounting, and financial reporting. Experience managing large and complex operated and non-operated well, acreage, leasehold, and ownership portfolios across multiple jurisdictions. Significant experience supporting acquisitions, divestitures, due diligence, data conversion, system integration, and post-acquisition integration. Experience with Enertia is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change, develop high-performing teams, and work effectively across functional and organizational boundaries. Strong executive communication, judgment, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk using a computer.
