The Cannabis and Alcohol Regulation Division enforces regulatory laws, distributes distilled spirits, and promotes responsible use of alcohol and cannabis. Duties Job Overview This position resides in the Cannabis and Alcohol Regulation Division of Department of Revenue. The Management Analyst provides leadership and direction for division research, analysis, and project management. The incumbent plans and implements division projects and programs to meet the division’s needs, goals and objectives; provides technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders. The position reports to the unit manager of the management analyst unit. Lifting is infrequent, less than 15 pounds. Some travel may be required, must have a valid driver’s license. Remote/Telework This position may be eligible to work from an approved worksite; however, the successful candidate must be a primary resident of Montana as a condition of employment. This position would be required to report to the Department of Revenue office assigned by the supervisor. Employees must meet and sustain Department of Revenue telework eligibility requirements and supervisor’s approval to participate in the DOR Telework Program. Full-time teleworking is not available. Training Assignment This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire. The Department of Revenue participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility. Education / Experience The above competencies are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics or closely related field Five years of experience in customer relations, distribution, program planning analysis, and/or policy development including two years of supervision and/or management experience.
