20262027 School Year Job Title: School Guidance Counselor (K–8) Location: Jacksonville, FL – Intercoastal Campus Job Type: Full-Time | 10-Month Contract Salary: Starting at $51,000 (based on experience) Job Summary Global Leadership Academy is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Guidance Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students at our Intercoastal Campus. The ideal candidate will provide counseling services, support student success initiatives, and collaborate with staff and families to promote a positive school environment. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provide individual and small group counseling to support student academic, social, and emotional development Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program Support students with behavior interventions, conflict resolution, and social-emotional learning Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Monitor student attendance, progress, and well-being Support MTSS/RTI processes and student intervention plans Assist with crisis intervention and provide appropriate referrals when needed Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student needs and progress Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development Maintain accurate and confidential student records Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in School Counseling Valid Florida Certification in School Counseling Knowledge of child development, behavior support, and counseling practices Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a school setting Knowledge of MTSS/RTI processes Experience supporting K–8 students Strong crisis intervention and student support skills Work Schedule Monday through Friday 8-hour shift In-person position Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Life and disability insurance Paid time off Professional development opportunities Global Leadership Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
