  • Participates in prospect meetings and assists in the successful acquisition of new client relationships through fiduciary consultation and expertise.
  • Reviews estate planning documents and supporting documentation for adherence to account acceptance standards, while providing guidance on MTC’s account acceptance and fiduciary administration standards.
  • Makes decisions on new account pre-acceptance and provides final risk approval prior to submission to the Trust Administrative Committee (TAC), using prudent fiduciary judgment.
  • Works closely with internal fiduciary partners to address potential legal, risk, or compliance concerns prior to the acceptance of new business.
  • Serves as an active, impartial member of the Trust Administrative Committee (TAC).
  • Identifies emerging fiduciary risks, develops risk mitigation strategies, and assists in establishing best practices related to account acceptance, trust administration, and fiduciary decision-making.
  • In partnership with the Wealth Management Consultant, provides a smooth transition of new account information to other internal business partners (i.e. Trust Business Support, Fiduciary Administration, Investment and Trust Operations), and a smooth client and Center of Influence (COI) handoff to the assigned trust officer.
  • Provides subject-matter and risk support to trust officers during account administration.
  • May be asked to provide subject-matter and risk support to MTC’s credit union agency partners and private offices on an as-needed basis, and to serve as a back-up to other Senior Fiduciary Officers.
  • Represents MTC as a fiduciary thought leader and participant through public-speaking engagements, webinars, conferences and partner events.
  • Provides subject-matter content review of MTC presentations, brochures, and marketing materials.
  • Provides mentoring and fiduciary guidance to other team members to strengthen fiduciary expertise across the organization.
  • Engages in on-going training to stay up to date on fiduciary topics.
  • Participates in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, product/services and processes.
  • Leverages data analytics, AI, automation tools, CRM systems and other emerging technologies to improve risk identification, operational efficiency, client service, knowledge management and fiduciary decision-making while maintaining appropriate regulatory oversight and professional judgment.
  • Thrives in a small-company environment by effectively managing multiple tasks and responsibilities, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed to achieve organizational goals.

Key Performance Expectations

  • Quality, consistency, and timeliness of fiduciary risk analysis, pre-acceptance reviews, and decision-making.
  • Effectiveness of support provided to new business opportunities, relationship retention efforts, and strategic partner relationships.
  • Strength of collaboration with Wealth Management Consultants, Fiduciary Administration, Trust Business Support, Investment, and Operations partners.
  • Meaningful contributions to TAC, risk management initiatives, and account acceptance best practices.
  • Professional visibility through presentations, webinars, conferences, other thought leadership activities.
  • Quality of mentoring, training, and fiduciary guidance provided to less experienced team members and internal partners.
  • Timely and accurate completion of CRM activity tracking, status updates, and related reporting requirements.
  • Appropriate use of technology, AI, automation, and process improvement tools to enhance efficiency, risk management, and client service.
  • Positive partner, client, and colleague feedback reflecting responsiveness, judgment, professionalism, and practical fiduciary guidance.

Required Skills/Abilities
