Develop new business through referrals, outreach, and consistent relationship-building in the local community. Review existing policies and identify opportunities to improve coverage, retention, and client satisfaction. Prepare quotes, explain coverage details, and help clients make informed decisions. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policy updates, and sales activity. Support renewals and account service with care, responsiveness, and attention to detail. Stay current on product knowledge, carrier guidelines, and changes in the insurance market. Represent The Atlantic District with professionalism, warmth, and a genuine commitment to helping people protect what matters most. Requirements Property & Casualty insurance license, or the ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe. Previous experience in insurance sales, account management, or customer-facing sales. Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, with a clear and professional approach. Ability to build trust quickly and guide clients through coverage options with confidence. Comfort working independently while staying connected to agency goals and standards. Organized follow-through for quotes, renewals, policy changes, and client follow-up. Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting tools, and everyday business software. Preference for candidates with local market knowledge or experience serving Maine clients.
