Corban Veterinary Services in Charlotte Court House, Virginia, is looking for a Medical Director / GP Veterinarian to lead our team! Package Compensation commiserates with experience/education Substantial retention and relocation support Hospital Profit Sharing program Currently closed on Saturdays and Sundays 1-2 Saturdays each month may be required in the future About our hospital We currently have a total of 5 Veterinarians on staff. We have 2 LVTs and 8 Vet Assistants, with 3 currently studying for their LVT license. We usually have 2-3 DVMs on duty each day, with one DVM dedicated to handling scheduled surgeries. Your role As Medical Director, you won't be buried in paperwork. You'll be a practicing veterinarian who happens to lead. Responsibilities Setting the medical and surgical direction for a collaborative 5-doctor team Mentoring associates and fostering a culture where learning thrives Ensuring gold-standard care while managing the practical side of inventory and protocols Partnering with our Hospital Manager on recruiting top talent Supporting your team's passion projects and continuing education goals Qualifications Leads by inspiration, not intimidation Balances clinical excellence with team development Genuinely enjoys client education and communication Wants to build something lasting in a community-focused practice About our team Our practice has a long history in this community; several of the employees were clients of the original owner. Dr. Morris started this practice 30 years ago by re-opening in the same location as the long-time county veterinarian. Our rural area is unique in that we see patients from multiple surrounding counties and some owners drive over an hour to be seen here. We offer solid medical care at affordable rates. Our team is tight knit, with several employees who have been here 15+ years. Several of our Techs started as a CSR and moved on to become a LVT and Vet Assistants. We have had several former employees who have gone on to become DVMs; we encourage our staff to continue their career goals and our staff are great mentors.
