Entry Level Medical Screener

Position Overview This is a part‑time position, typically 4–6 hours per day, 3 or more days per week. About the role Each day you will motivate donors and collect high‑quality plasma to produce life‑changing medicines. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform donor screening and phlebotomy to support plasma center operations. How you will contribute Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety. Screen new and repeat donors, take and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results. Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation. Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to center processes using company‑approved procedures. Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. What you bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift. Availability evenings, weekends and holidays. Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees. Capability to lift up to 5lbs, occasional lifting up to 32lbs and rarely 50lbs. Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance. Experience with bloodborne pathogen safety; 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear. One or more years of customer or patient‑facing experience. Starting hourly wage: US$16.00, plus eligibility for U.S. based employees to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time per year, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
