Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring Epic EMR proficiency, prior travel experience, and active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes all post-operative patients excluding open heart surgery cases
• Manages patients on pressors, cardiac drips, insulin drips, and inotropes
• Uses Epic EMR (experience required)
• Facilities include Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 trauma centers depending on location

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand)
• For IL-based placements: active IL RN license and active (or applied-for) Iowa RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all AHA-issued)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
• Driver's license required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify at the standard rate (local candidates in Madison may be considered at a reduced rate)

Additional Information

• Candidates must not have been employed by UnityPoint Health within the past 12 months
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving holiday week and 1 day during the Christmas/New Year's holiday window
• Skills checklist completed within the past year is required for consideration
