The Chemical Technician will perform essential support tasks within a small team environment, assisting with sample preparation, chemical testing, and data recording. This role involves working with various chemicals and equipment to ensure accurate and safe operations, reporting directly to a supervisor. The position requires self-supervision, effective time management, and occasional Saturday work, with no travel obligations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for analysis and testing
- Conduct chemical tests and record accurate data
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Mix chemicals safely, including acids and caustic substances
- Operate pumps and control valves effectively
- Self-supervise and manage time efficiently
- Perform some Saturday shifts as needed
- Use hand tools such as wrenches for routine tasks
