Technician, Maintenance Actions

Job Responsibilities 3rd Shift Hours: 7pm - 7am Schedule: Thursday to Thursday, one week on, one week off Must pass our Ramsay with a minimum of 50% Exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that exemplifies the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee's Charter. Report unsafe acts or conditions and correct or commend health and safety performance. Report accidents or injuries immediately and participate in investigations. Follow company policies and business objectives in daily supervision of operations. Exhibit teamwork and leadership skills and actively participate in team activities. Demonstrate problem‑solving skills and continuous improvement. Support customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar. Perform daily cross‑functional job assignments as required. Have knowledge of general workplace health and safety for the public and visitors to Decostar. Ensure respect, cooperation, ethical conduct and fair dealing in all operations. Specific Job Duties Repair and maintain all equipment and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation. Inspect all machinery for defects and potential problems, and repair or replace parts as required. Order replacement parts and fluids through the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor. Determine reasons for equipment failures and advise managers on corrective actions. Fabricate equipment components using welders, milling machines, lathes, and other machine tools. Troubleshoot and repair all electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Assist in tooling and mode changes as required by the production schedule. Execute lock‑out/tag‑out procedures on all molding department equipment and facilities. Communicate detailed job‑related information using written and verbal communication forms. Assist in the implementation, development, and maintenance of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Maintain a high departmental standard of cleanliness. Perform other duties as directed. Will be required to be Forklift, Aerial Lift, and First Aid Certified. Education H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is required. Associate degree in a technical related field preferred. Skills and Experience Minimum three years maintenance experience in Molding, Paint or Assembly type background.
