COOK/DISHWASHER

About the role:

As a Cook/Dishwasher, you will help prepare and produce high-quality meals while

maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment for staff and guests. The

cooking responsibilities focus on food production, presentation, proper handling, and

preparing ingredients to our standard. You will work closely with the Head Chef and

kitchen team to support smooth, efficient daily operations. The dishwashing

responsibilities include cleaning dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to

keep service running effectively. This role requires stamina, including standing for long

periods, moving throughout the establishment, completing cooking and cleaning duties,

performing repetitive tasks, and lifting heavy items as needed. In this position, you will

uphold our standards for quality, consistency, delicious food, safety, and care for our

community.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to read and speak English to understand recipes, follow safety

instructions, and communicate with team members.

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, climb stairs, move kitchen

equipment and supplies, and lift up to 50 lbs.; must be comfortable being on your

feet for 8 or more hours per shift.

• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Valid food handler or food safety certification, or ability to obtain one within 30

days.

• Working knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and basic cooking

techniques.

• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Cook Responsibilities:

• Prepare hot and cold menu items according to standardized recipes and quality

standards.

• Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean, organized, and safe.

• Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and food production

planning.

• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.

• Move, store, and organize food supplies to support inventory management.

• Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to coordinate meal service.

• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout each shift.

• Assist with prep work, line setup, end-of-shift cleaning and breakdown.

• Prepare ingredients and complete food preparation tasks as assigned.

• Support efficient food production during service and prep periods.

• Prepare meals accurately, efficiently, and according to quality expectations.

• Maintain high culinary standards in all preparation and cooking tasks.

• Read and follow written instructions, recipes, and safety guidelines.

• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent kitchen

operations and care for our community establishment.
