Special School District (SSD) speech language pathologists champion our mission by helping students develop the communication skills needed to access and benefit from their education. The Special Non-Public Access Program (SNAP) provides services to students residing in St. Louis County who attend private, parochial, or home schools. As a part-time SNAP SLP, you will assess, identify, and provide intervention services for SNAP students with speech and language disorders, helping ensure they can participate fully in both general and special education environments. Through individualized support, collaboration with families and educational teams, and the development of targeted communication goals, you will empower students to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and make meaningful progress toward their educational outcomes.

Education and Experience

• Master's degree in communication disorders required
• Minimum of two years speech/language teaching experience in schools or other comparable settings preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Missouri licensure in speech pathology or a DESE certificate required; CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence-Speech) preferred

Salary

• $42/hour

• 10-month school year (August to June), exact dates dependent on assigned location(s)
