Clinical Pharmacist – Acute Care Hospital

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (431 Beds)

Must Have

• Active Florida Pharmacist License (in good standing)
• BLS Certification
• 3–5 years of Pharmacist experience
• Previous Hospital Pharmacy experience ( required )
• Experience reviewing and verifying medication orders
• Knowledge of inpatient medication management
• Experience with medication dispensing systems
• Strong clinical judgment and medication safety practices
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment

Preferred

• Experience in Trauma Centers
• Stroke Care experience
• Surgical Services experience
• Experience with Meditech
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Experience with DoseEdge workflow software
• Acute care clinical pharmacy experience

Schedule

• Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM
• 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• No Floating Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process medication orders for hospitalized patients
• Ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing
• Monitor medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide clinical pharmacy consultation and recommendations
• Prepare and verify sterile and non-sterile medications as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support medication safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Utilize electronic health record and pharmacy management systems for documentation and order verification
• Assist with formulary management and medication inventory oversight
