Principal Electrical Engineer - Test

Position Principal Electrical Engineer – Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Onsite – Scottsdale, Arizona U.S. Citizen and U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret, active on day 1) required. Responsibilities Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon products within the TEE Directorate in multi‑discipline engineering teams. Develop both engineering and production test systems, including test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematics, circuit design, and analysis. Contribute to all stages of test product development, managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects. Act as part of a team or independently to uncover and resolve issues related to the development and implementation of test products. Integrate test solutions with advanced engineering systems using the latest technology and tools. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret required). Experience in electrical engineering design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing. Proficiency with electrical engineering design and analysis tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, and Creo Schematic. Experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters. Ability to read, interpret, and use schematic capture tools. Preferred Qualifications Master of Science degree in STEM (ABET accredited preferred). Technical leadership in multi‑discipline team environments. Experience in analog, digital, RF, and mixed‑signal design. Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed‑signal, and electrical system interconnects. Proficiency with integrated development environments and debugging tools for software troubleshooting. Self‑starter capable of managing workload to meet deadlines. Team‑work experience and strong technical writing and presentation skills. Experience leading single‑ or multi‑discipline engineering teams. Project management, bid and proposal experience. Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques. Experience with programming language development and implementation. Experience with troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and interfacing UUTs. Knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems. Benefits Competitive salary ($107,500 – $204,500 USD).
