Endoscopy Technician

Endoscopy Technician Per Diem Gulf Comprehensive Surgery Center is an advanced technology endoscopy suite specializing in the examination of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. Procedures are performed in a comfortable outpatient setting designed with high quality of care, safety, patient privacy, and convenience in mind. The GI technician works under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse and the GI technician work as a team in the procedure room to provide optimal conditions in achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation, facilitating patient flow, room turnover, stocking procedure rooms, ordering supplies and performing a variety of clerical duties.
