About the Role

Hello, RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) supporting students in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you'll provide hands-on student care, manage day-to-day health needs in the school health room, and help create a safe and supportive environment for students. This is a great opportunity for nurses interested in pediatrics, public health, or transitioning into a rewarding school-based setting.

What You'll Do

• Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans
• Provide first aid and respond to student health concerns throughout the school day
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance
• Communicate with families regarding student health needs and updates
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, administrators, and special education teams
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate
• Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols
• Monitor immunization compliance and support health screenings
• Promote student health, safety, and wellness throughout the school

What We're Looking For

• Active Colorado State RN license
• School Nursing CDE or ability to obtain
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
• Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills
• Passion for supporting students and their health needs
