Summer Day Camp Site Director - Anthem HOA - Broomfield

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking passionate, motivated, and experienced individuals to lead our Summer Day Camp programs as Site Directors. Season & Training Training: May 18‑22, 2026 Season: May 26‑August 7, 2026 (opportunities to extend into school‑year programs) No weekends Responsibilities Engage & Inspire – Lead campers and motivate staff to create an amazing and memorable camp experience. Plan & Innovate – Implement creative, high‑quality camp programs and activities that align with YMCA standards. Staff Management – Train, schedule, and supervise a team of staff and volunteers to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations. Safety First – Ensure that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures are followed at all times. Program Quality – Oversee the implementation of engaging programming that supports children’s growth and well‑being. Maintain High Standards – Adhere to YMCA policies, CDHS licensing requirements, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards. Communication & Collaboration – Build positive relationships with staff, campers, parents, and the community while maintaining open communication with supervisors. Crisis & Emergency Management – Follow YMCA emergency procedures and ensure staff are trained and prepared to handle any situation. Flexibility & Adaptability – Be on time for all shifts and flexible with scheduling changes to accommodate the needs of the camp. Discipline & Guidance – Implement positive guidance and preventative discipline techniques according to YMCA standards. Record Keeping – Maintain accurate records, including staff files, child files, attendance logs, and other necessary documentation. Budget & Supplies – Monitor and manage the camp site budget, purchasing necessary supplies and materials to keep programs running smoothly. Additional Responsibilities – Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other YMCA events as needed; perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Must be 21 years or older. Previous experience working with children in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred. Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable. Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are strongly encouraged. CPR and First Aid certification (training will be provided). Education & Experience – at least one of the following: Four‑year degree in a related field. Associate’s degree or 60 semester credit hours plus 3 months (455 hours) of experience supervising four or more children under 4 years who are not related to the individual. 3,185 hours of experience supervising four or more children under 4 years who are not related to the individual.
