Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within the quality parameters established. This position requires problem solving responsibilities.Receipt of materials into warehouse, including unloading trucks, product check-in with proper markings: product code, count and date received, lot tags where applicableOrganization and put away of new receiptsResponsible for accurate documentation of material movement on BOLs, trailer load documents, packing lists, transfer lists: identification, count, signature and date.Assist with receipt entry and processingAssure accurate inventory counts of materialsTimely notification of package receipts for other departments and/or delivery to appropriate office locationPreparation and loading/unloading of transfer lists onto trailers for future production: verifying correct product pulled, documenting lot information, signature and date on paperworkEnter product transfers and adjustmentsHousekeeping during and at end of shiftAssisting with inventory receipts and accuracyInventory placement and storageInventory verificationWorking in non-climate-controlled warehouse conditionsGood housekeeping of warehouse and inventory locationsWalking and standing on concrete floors for long periods of timeAdditional essential functions may be applicable to specific jobsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. May perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Knowledge and experience in meat industry is preferred, but not requiredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. A minimum of 3 full months of documented experience as a certified fork lift/heavy lift driver will be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma or GED.Previous powered industrial truck (PIT) experienceMust obtain proper powered industrial truck (PIT) certification during initial training phaseAbility to lift 50 lbs.Understand and follow both written and verbal instructionsPerform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all measures, whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsAttention to detail and good communication skills, both verbal and writtenComputer skills including experience with Microsoft OfficeCompetent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policiesMaintain regular and predictable attendance.Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime, depending upon production demandsAbility to wear proper PPE for work environmentAbility to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.Relocation package available.
