JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing calibration work for JAE’s and/or third party’s directional module package and/or similar products for the oil & gas industry for the Houston Repair Center. The individual will also record data gathered during calibration and enter the data into the system.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

General calibration work which includes visual inspection. Identify the product’s defective performance with calibration stand and system. Perform and adjust calibration using calibration equipment (jigs and data gathering software). Monitor the Calibration Stand ovens for issues and take appropriate action to complete the calibration. Troubleshoot testing failures. Data entry of defect information, repair work and calibration data.

CORE COMPETENCIES

Attention to detail: Ability to perform precise work and maintain high standards of quality. Problem-solving abilities: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of calibration or related operational experience in the Oil and Gas Industry Skills: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

BUSINESS TRAVEL

This position requires no traveling.

PHYSICAL DEMAND
