What You'll Do
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing and executing production schedules that support customer demand while optimizing resources throughout the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
Balance demand, capacity, labor, materials, and inventory to maximize production efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
Partner closely with manufacturing, procurement, inventory, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans.
Utilize ERP and MRP systems to manage material availability, production schedules, and inventory requirements.
Monitor production performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Proactively address scheduling conflicts, material shortages, capacity constraints, and production bottlenecks.
Analyze production data and trends to improve throughput, reduce disruptions, and support strategic planning initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement efforts utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and best practices.
Support production planning projects, ERP enhancements, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives.
Maintain accurate planning data including bills of material, routings, lead times, and planning parameters.
Communicate schedule changes, production priorities, and operational risks effectively across departments and leadership teams.
Partner with stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory utilization, and customer service levels.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
2+ years of experience in Production Planning, Scheduling, Supply Chain, Operations Planning, or a related manufacturing environment.
Experience creating and managing production schedules based on customer demand.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and material flow.
Experience utilizing ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of MRP systems and inventory planning strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with IFS ERP.
APICS/CPIM certification or similar supply chain credentials.
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or optimization projects.
Knowledge of capacity planning, forecasting, and master production scheduling methodologies.
Project management experience within manufacturing or supply chain operations.
Experience working closely with logistics, transportation, and procurement functions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $33.65/hr.
