Job Overview The Department of Marketing, Management, and Supply Chain in the Woody L. Hunt College of Business at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a full-time, non‑tenure‑track faculty position as Professor of Practice in International Business (U.S.-Mexico Trade and Commerce). The anticipated appointment begins in Fall 2026. Salary and benefits are competitive with AACSB-accredited institutions and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Hiring is contingent upon final budget approval. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in international business and related areas, mentor students, participate in curriculum development, support experiential learning opportunities, and engage with regional businesses, government agencies, and other organizations involved in cross‑border trade and commerce. Contribute to the College's expanding initiatives in U.S.-Mexico trade and commerce through outreach, partnership development, and other mission‑related activities. Job Requirements Applicants must hold, by the appointment date, a master’s degree or higher from an AACSB-accredited institution with a major or emphasis in International Business or a closely related field. Evidence of excellence or strong potential in university-level teaching is required. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in international business, with particular emphasis on U.S.-Mexico trade, cross-border commerce, global supply chains, customs and trade policy, international logistics, or related areas. Professional experience in international business or cross-border trade is highly desirable, particularly involving the U.S.-Mexico region. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, a commitment to student success, and the ability to engage effectively with business leaders, government agencies, and community partners. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is desirable but not required.
