More About Our Team Our Patient Care Assistant (PCA) Float Pool is a Per Diem (PRN) opportunity designed for actively enrolled nursing students to gain hands‑on clinical experience across a variety of hospital units. In this dynamic role, students support patient care while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals, building foundational skills and broad clinical exposure. This flexible position offers a collaborative environment that enhances learning, confidence, and career development in nursing. How You'll Contribute Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording. Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation). Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff. Maintains clean, safe, and well‑stocked patient rooms and common areas. Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and overall department throughput. Documents care and activities per unit standards. Performs other duties as assigned; participates in performance improvement and required education. Additional requirements include: Must be currently enrolled in or accepted into nursing school. Candidates must provide proof (acceptance letter, school schedule, or student ID badge).
