Position Title: OBGYN Clinical ASO/AST/Full Professor

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our organization is actively seeking a full-time physician to join the Division of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual who is enthusiastic about enhancing women's health and is committed to a career in academic obstetrics and gynecology.

About the Department & Healthcare Services

Our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is dedicated to providing comprehensive services in women's health, ensuring high-quality patient care while emphasizing education and research.

  • Approximately 60,000 patient visits and 3,000 deliveries each year.
  • Collaborative programs in maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, minimally invasive surgery, urogynecology, and reproductive endocrinology.
  • Active participation in clinical innovation, resident training, and research supported by NIH and various foundations.

Job Responsibilities

As a member of our team, your duties will encompass:

  • Providing direct clinical care and engaging in research activities.
  • Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Contributing creatively to the growth and development of programs.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Delivering a wide range of obstetrical and gynecologic care, including surgeries for medically complex patients.

We encourage candidates to have specific areas of interest in women's health care. Your academic rank will be determined based on your qualifications and experience.

Working Conditions

You will provide care as an obstetrician/gynecologist at our healthcare facility, attend to patients at various clinics, and perform both major and minor gynecologic surgeries. Additionally, you will participate in a rotating schedule for night and weekend on-call duties.

Educational Contributions

The College of Medicine plays a vital role in training medical students, residents, and fellows through partnerships with our healthcare practices, hospitals, and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. As a faculty member, you will significantly contribute to our educational mission by:

  • Teaching junior medical students.
  • Serving on various committees within the hospital and department.
  • Participating in departmental activities such as rounds, special lectures, and postgraduate courses.
  • Engaging in scholarly activities, including research and quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
  • Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Eligibility for a Florida Medical License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • A terminal doctoral degree in a clinical science (MD or DO). Additional degrees such as an MBA or MPH are welcomed.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
