The role supports residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting dignity, safety, and independence in compliance with California Title 22 regulations.ResponsibilitiesAssist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toiletingProvide incontinence careAssist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility devicesSupport residents with eating and hydrationAssist with self-administration of medicationsDocument medication assistance accuratelyObserve and report side effects or medication concernsFollow facility medication policies and physician ordersProvide continuous supervision as required by resident care plansMonitor for fall risks and behavioral changesRespond promptly to emergenciesFollow infection control and safety proceduresMaintain accurate daily care logsReport changes in condition to supervisor or administratorFollow Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelinesProvide companionship and emotional reassuranceEncourage participation in planned activitiesSupport residents' independence and quality of lifeQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred)Must complete RCFE Initial Training (minimum 10 hours before working independently) and dementia care training. Paid Training provided upon hire if not already completed.Complete annual continuing education (20 hours per year paid).
