In this role, you will support the dentist with various procedures and operate x-ray machines. To excel in this position, candidates should possess a valid state hygiene license and have prior experience as a dental hygienist. Compensation Package Schedule: Flexible working hours Compensation: $75-$80 per hour Key Responsibilities of the Dental Hygienist Utilizing dental tools to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth and below gum margins. Reviewing and documenting patient medical histories. Employing probes to assess and identify periodontal issues and other signs of gum disease. Recording instances of dental decay and disease for the dentist's diagnosis and treatment. Maintaining dental equipment and x-ray machines. Conducting visual and tactile examinations of gums for signs of disease, sores, and other oral health concerns. Encouraging preventive dental care to enhance patient oral health. Applying fluoride and other agents to prevent dental decay. Collaborating with dentists and dental assistants. Managing a dental hygiene program for patients. Qualifications and Requirements Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program. Valid state hygiene license. Current CPR certification. Capability to administer local anesthetics. Proficient in operating x-ray machines. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable using computers for various tasks.
