Responsibilities:

• Supports and assists the pharmacist in the medication use process by providing safe and efficient medication management and patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric), physicians, employees, and the public.
• Requires following appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution.
• Functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients.
• Responsibilities include IV admixture, assisting the pharmacist with the dispensing of medications, maintaining medications in unit-based cabinets, taking verbal refill approvals from provider's offices, insurance verification, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.

Qualifications:

• Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• AND one of:
• Pharmacy Technician (PHT), KY OR Pharmacy Intern (PHI), KY

• Desired:
• 1 year experience working in pharmacy.
• High School Diploma or GED
