Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) nursing position is based in Bakersfield, California. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within the surgical environment, supporting patient safety and positive outcomes through all phases of the surgical process.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, starting at 6:45 am, with 10 hours shift hours and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse (RN) license, minimum of 3 years of experience in operating room nursing, current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Education must include graduation from an accredited registered nursing program, with a bachelors degree or associate degree preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of advanced nursing theory, surgical instruments and procedures, infection control protocols, medication administration, and team collaboration skills.
• Additional Information: The role expects the candidate to demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in perioperative care, including patient assessment, care planning, and critical thinking. Compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements is essential. The position may require maintaining specific certifications as dictated by the facility.
