Universal Banker

• Greet members and provide service in person, by phone, and digitally • Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan and credit card payments, loan advances, checks, and savings bonds • Maintain teller balancing records and run teller cashbox as needed • Handle member problems, complaints, and special situations in compliance with Credit Union policies • Balance ATMs, execute branch capture, complete branch recaps, maintain member accounts, process night depository transactions, and act as vault teller • Operate branch technology and systems, including ATMs, Cash Recyclers, Debit Card Instant Issue, Check Scanning, ITMs, and Glory Teller Machines • Support branch operational ratings and corporate audits while complying with applicable laws • Open and close consumer and business membership accounts • Perform account maintenance and resolve membership concerns • Notarize documents when authorized • Process loan applications, communicate decisions, review documentation, deliver loan documents, and witness signatures • Assess members’ financial needs and recommend deposit products such as checking, savings, IRAs, and CDs • Collaborate with internal experts to provide solutions and resolve issues • Document member interactions and follow-up plans in the IRM system • Educate members about available Credit Union services • Identify suitable personal, auto, and mortgage loan products • Gather member information and submit compliant loan documentation to centralized lending teams • Maintain timely communication regarding loan statuses and additional service needs • Participate in training and development • Ensure transactions and loan applications follow operational procedures, regulatory standards, and risk protocols • Collaborate with branch team members to improve efficiency, member satisfaction, and service quality • Provide inbound and outbound telephone services, including transactions, information, problem resolution, and product/service suggestions • Perform other assigned duties Requirements High school diploma and equivalent years of experience Bachelor’s degree preferred One to three years’ experience in a financial branch environment, financial industry, or retail sales environment Ability to communicate in written and verbal formats Experience with the loan application process and standard or typical internal operating policies and procedures Knowledge of current industry offers, market trends, competitors, and Credit Union lending and member service policies and procedures Ability to interpret and apply financial information, including credit scores, debt, assets, balances, payments, and interest rates Ability to perform math functions, including percentages and ratios Analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and judgment Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to pass a background check including credit, drug screen, bondability, and criminal background Ability to provide coverage at other branches when necessary Ability to work a Saturday rotation schedule Compliance with SAFE Act requirements and maintenance of current NMLS registration for lending responsibilities Ability to lift/push up to 10 lbs.
