About the Position

Description: This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting. The registered nurse will monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team. The nurse will also perform patient education, ensuring patients understand their diagnoses and treatment plans. The work environment includes a diverse patient population, focusing on various medical conditions such as cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive heart failure. The team is equipped with advanced medical technology to facilitate optimal patient care. The nurse will be expected to maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. Weekend shifts are encouraged as part of staffing policy. Experience as a charge nurse is preferred, along with familiarity in oncology, but these are not mandatory. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
