Use caution when driving the forklift and follows all rules from training. Maintains the work area and equipment in accordance with 5S requirements for cleanliness. Quality Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct. Verify the quantity and quality of material received. Complete and maintain all required paperwork. Set an example for team members of commitment, application of skill, work ethics and habits and personal character. Completes daily entries in ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics). Delivery Pick orders from stock or from staging area. Prepare product for shipping to customers Ensure customer order and product matches: box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary Contact common carriers and schedule pick-ups, ensuring the meeting of customer delivery requirements Creates BOL’s and contacts carriers to comply with customers’ requirements. Ability to call in trucks and make BOL’s. Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials Place incoming materials into storage Pull materials from storage and deliver to production as needed. Operate various machines to include wrapper, bander, hand tools, forklift, various hand and power tools, etc. Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier. Acts as a liaison with purchasing to coordinate inbound freight. Monitors day-to-day order flow in warehouse and coordinates with supervisor and area leaders to allocate labor/equipment resources appropriately to meet company service goals. Enter Build Plan Transactions in and out of warehouse. Cost Identify and implement improvements in coordination with the engineering team. Process recycled products. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent is desired. At least 3 years of general shipping & warehouse is desired. 1+ year of experience with shipping and calling carriers. Strong organizational and analytical skills Knowledge of ERP systems, preferred Microsoft Dynamics (Dynamics AX or D365). Solid PC skills, spreadsheet development abilities and working knowledge of designated software. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others. Requires the ability to operate various hand and power tools. Requires the ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
