Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)As our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will help our patients by providing nursing care to our skilled nursing residents under the direction of the physician or registered nurse. Every day you will work with our patients to evaluate their needs and provide physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you must have a genuine compassion for your patients' well-being and understand the role you play in helping our patients feel at ease. You also have the patience to explain the process, answer questions and update documentation.Patient Admissions & Care Planning: Collaborates with the Charge Nurse on admission orders and medication sheets, assists in developing and updating care plans based on patient condition changesPatient Assessment & Reporting: Performs assessments when notified of patient condition changes, reporting findings to the Charge Nurse and providers as requestedMedication Management: Dispenses oral medications, administers IV, IM, and subcutaneous medications under RN supervision, reports medication errors, conducts narcotic counts, and gives inhalation therapyDischarges & Care Level Changes: Notifies pharmacy of patient status changes, supervises patient/caregiver education, arranges follow-up care, removes devices, and ensures home medications are returned during dischargeEmergency Care & Skills: Assists in ER/treatment room care, gathers patient information, calls for additional help during emergencies, and performs skilled procedures like IVs, catheterization, and dressing changes under RN supervisionDocumentation & Infection Control: Completes all necessary documentation, including medication, treatment, and acute/swing bed conditions, maintains patient Kardex, performs safety checks, and logs/reports infectious incidents while ensuring isolation precautionsWe are offering a $10,000 employment incentive to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.Job RequirementsRequiredGraduate of an accredited school of practical nursingND State Board of Nursing current LPN License (Licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the state of ND or in a compact state.
