DevOps/API Developer

Salary: $75,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• Active government security clearance
• Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field
• 3–5 years of progressive experience
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification, or a higher DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II-compliant certification such as CySA+, GSEC, or CISSP
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Strong API engineering background, including API gateways, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, and web service protocols
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Hands-on scripting and programming skills using languages such as Python, Bash, Go, or Node.js
• U.S. work authorization that does not require current or future visa sponsorship

• Design and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to deploy software consistently across local servers and cloud environments
• Use DevOps tools to manage on-premises hardware and cloud environments as code
• Build, document, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and web services connecting on-premises applications, cloud services, and third-party systems
• Manage and monitor networking, API request routing, and data synchronization between on-premises storage and cloud services
• Apply site reliability practices to support continuous delivery, resilient APIs, and high availability across hybrid environments
• Integrate security scanning, compliance checks, API authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, and API keys, and rate limiting into the development lifecycle
• Identify manual workflows that can be replaced with scalable automation and programmatic API integrations
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and connect engineering work to business objectives
• Provide clear leadership during high-pressure outages, API failures, and production incidents

The tagged-location base salary range is $75,000–$100,000; pay decisions consider factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skills, and organizational needs, and the range may change.
