The company began operations in the US Virgin Islands and is now preparing for multi-market expansion. Role Description We're looking for a highly engaged, trend-savvy Social Media Manager to own the day-to-day execution of our social media presence for Caribbean Boat Concierge. You'll be the human voice behind the brand — the person who curates the content, replies to DMs, and keeps our community engaged and growing. This is a full-time, remote role with potential in-person content sessions with our CEO. To make this work, you should live within driving distance of Greenville, SC (where our CEO resides). Responsibilities Create the social media calendar based on the strategy established by the CMO Create, edit, write, and publish approximately 2 social media posts per day Take raw ideas, footage, and direction and turn them into polished, engaging social media posts Edit videos using current social media trends, including pacing, cuts, captions, hooks, sound, and visual style Use our existing examples of content we love as a benchmark for the style and quality we want Monitor social media trends and quickly identify opportunities to create relevant content Set up and manage a high volume of chat triggers to turn social engagement into conversations and leads Monitor relevant Facebook groups and identify opportunities for engagement and lead generation Track content performance and use results to improve future posts Take direction and feedback from the CMO and implement changes quickly Develop a deep understanding of what we are building, our audience, and our business goals The Most Important Skill We are looking for someone with a natural instinct for content creation. We've got ton of beautiful content to work with (hello, it's the Caribbean) and a CEO who is willing to be on camera whenever you have an idea. We are looking for someone to take ownership of the strategy and help us bring it all to life! This person shouldn’t need every post mapped out for them. They should be able to take an idea, reference, piece of footage, or direction and turn it into a finished, publish-ready post. We want someone who understands that the goal isn’t simply to produce content or hit a posting quota. Our Ideal Candidate: Has excellent instincts for short-form social media content Is a strong video editor and content creator Understands hooks, pacing, retention, captions, trends, and viral formats Can independently take content from idea → edit → finished post → published Is proactive and constantly monitoring what is working on social media Can move quickly and produce consistently high-quality content Takes feedback well and implements it quickly Is organized and reliable Understands that social media is a business growth channel Wants to deeply understand our business and what we’re building Is genuinely invested in the success of the company Thinks like an owner rather than simply completing assigned tasks Qualifications A portfolio that establishes your experience in Social Media Management and Content Creation. Proficient in transforming talking head videos and other short form content into engaging posts. Strong Writing and Communication skills for clear, compelling, and brand-aligned content. Experience with Content Strategy, including planning, scheduling, and adapting content for multiple platforms. Familiarity with analytics tools and KPI tracking for social media performance. Previous experience in travel and hospitality would be nice, but not mandatory. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
