Engineer III - Civil • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience • Able to handle the most complex work and all aspects of the job using wide knowledge of the field and master of the subject matter • May provide input in setting objectives and policy, identifying critical issues and introducing new concepts • Makes decisions independently • Provide assistance, advice, and solutions to peers, customers, and co-workers • Identifies and implements better work alternatives and business processes

Additional Details: • This is a 5+ year project/contract • Local candidates strongly preferred • If candidate is not local and require relocation, a one time $1000 mobilization cost is reimbursable. • Expectation is for person to be available to be local and onsite 5 days a week • No per diem for this role. Only local or relocation. • Work address 2701 Vepco St. Chesapeake, VA 23323 • Nice to Have Skills: o Civil engineering degree and PE are preferred but not required o Organization and initiative/self discipline/ exceptional problem solving skills o Strong personal computer skills in proficiency with Microsoft Products o Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems • High Level Project Overview: o This candidate will support a long-term project in Chesapeake, VA and will need to be able to take the lead engineering role with multiple projects in flight. Will need to lead engineering design reviews, agency permitting efforts from cradle to grave, RFI and submittal reviews, and provide engineering oversight for construction activities.

Respect for regulatory and legal compliance is essential. • What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)? o Ability to work with others • Are there any specific companies/industries you’d like to see in the candidates experience? o Experience with design reviews, local, state, and federal permitting is a strong preference o Engineering field experience is preferred but not required • What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? o Local to the Chesapeake, VA area is strongly preferred. At this time the position is not available for per diem however a $1,000 mobilization is being offered to the successful candidate. • At any time is overtime required or would you say it is just available as a function of the job? o Overtime will be required based on project schedule demands. Candidate should expect to work between 40 - 50 hours per week.
