Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring 1+ year of home health experience and a valid driver's license for home visits.

Details\n

\n
• Home health setting providing skilled visits to patients covered by Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance
\n
• Diverse patient population including med/surg, cardiac, ortho, hips/knees/shoulders, post-surgical, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, falls, weakness, Parkinson's, failure to thrive, respiratory, neuro, trachs, trauma, and amputee (AKA/BKA) patients
\n
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
\n
• 6-8 home visits per day with a minimum of 6 points per day
\n
• 1-2 weekends required per contract
\n
• Self-scheduled visits and hours based on office needs
\n
• Uses BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems
\n
• Provided with laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printer
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active FL or Compact OT license required (if applicable)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
\n
• Must be an independent practitioner
\n
• BLS certification required
\n
• OASIS training and LSVT certification preferred
\n
• Home health experience required
\n
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
\n
• Cerner charting experience preferred
\n
• COVID vaccination or exemption documentation required
\n
• Flu shot or declination required; mandatory mask wearing if declined
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide occupational therapy services including ADLs, adaptive equipment training, home assessments, pre-discharge planning, and wheelchair evaluations
\n
• Perform standardized assessments including cognitive assessment, FIM, and functional capacity evaluation
\n
• Treat conditions including CVA, amputee, arthritis, dementia, hand injuries, multiple sclerosis, nerve injuries, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
\n
• Utilize modalities including electrical stimulation, myofascial release, lymphedema management, and burn/wound management
\n
• Any solid color scrubs accepted as dress code
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
\n
• Former BayCare employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
\n
• RTO is not accommodated for standard travel contract submissions
\n
