Job Description Job Description The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to young learners with diverse needs, promoting their development and inclusion within educational settings. This role involves tailoring curriculum and employing behavior management strategies to foster a positive and effective learning environment. Collaboration with parents and colleagues is essential to monitor progress and ensure each student's growth. Responsibilities Deliver specialized instruction tailored to early childhood special education students Implement behavior management techniques to support positive student conduct Collaborate with general education staff and paraprofessionals to enhance learning outcomes Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress Monitor and document student progress using paper-based and specialized software systems Adapt curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student Preferred Qualifications Entry-level experience in early childhood special education Certification in Early Childhood Special Education State teaching license Strong classroom management skills Effective communication and collaboration abilities Adaptability and empathy in working with children and families TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Effective Date: 2026-2027 school year Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience Benefits: VRS pension and life insurance, medical/dental insurance, sick, and personal days DEADLINE Until Filled Washington County School Board reserves the right to consider those who respond and any other potential candidates and any position(s) or transfer(s) that may result from filling this position.
